Girls on Fire Confidence Conference 2025

Sunday, September 14, 202
Festival Hall | 10:30am - 4:00pm

Start the School Year with Confidence!

Our Girls on Fire Confidence Conference is an amazing day of confidence boosting activities, including topics of growth mindset, mindfulness, navigating bullying, cyber safety, health and fitness, body image and self defence! We spend a day mentoring and helping our girls build their Confidence Tool Kit so they can navigate their Tween lives with CONFIDENCE!

What do we do at the Conference?

The Conference has girls registered into teams of 8-10 girls along with one Table Coach. Our Table Coaches are women leaders from the community who sponsor a table to help support and lead the girls through the activities of the day. These amazing women are from all walks of life, everything from doctors to lawyers to electricians to hairstylists to magazine editors to bankers! We want to surround the girls with a diverse group of women so they can see possibilities for themselves. We encourage girls to make new friends and at the end of the day, they can capture phone numbers of new girls they’ve bonded with on their team.

The activities that the girls do are presented by the “SheRo Squad” Educators. These are women that our founder, Theresa Stanley, has hand picked to present on stage. Through out the day, the SheRo Squad teaches the girls to build their “Confidence Tool Box” with topics and activities on Growth Mindset, Mindfulness, Health, Friendships & Bullying, and Cyber Safety and Self Defence.

These girls LOVE to eat! We provide a delicious lunch catered by the local Subway. We have snack breaks during the day to keep the girls energized.

Our event is nut-free. If your child has additional dietary concerns, we will do our best to accommodate!

We are excited to offer our parents coffee, tea and refreshments at 3:00PM. At this time, the parents can watch the final activities and the Board Breaking Ceremony while enjoying a coffee!

Our signature activity is straight from our martial arts roots! Every girl will break through their limiting beliefs and struggles by breaking a real wood board! Parents will be able to witness this moment!

"My daughter is almost 10. And has struggled the last few years with anxiety, depression, and bullying.  This workshop felt like something she could do just for her, and at the very least, would give her access to a new group of kids her age she could potentially befriend, since forming friendship as of late has been difficult for her.  But so much more than that, I think you really got through to her, and you helped her see what we have been trying to show her all along. As a woman who has spent the last 6 years trying to re-write my own inner dialogue, and heal the trauma from growing up with my own confidence issues, having a course like this for my daughter means so much to me.  It's easier to grow up equipped with the necessary tools in the beginning, then try to undo years of "coping" once you are an adult.  So thank you for seeing the need, and creating this event.  Next year my youngest Daughter will join you as well! "
